Band Contest

Congratulations to the LHS Band for performing extremely well at a pre-UIL contest. They received the highest score from all of the judges!!!!  It was an outstanding performance!

LHS Construction Update

The plans for Lorena High School are in a work in progress at this point. We are finalizing the plans for a new entrance, additional science labs and career and technology classroom, new cafeteria space, new gym, library media center expansion,classroom renovations, relocation of programs/spaces (including offices, FCS and ag classes), and athletic stadium renovations and upgrades. The work trailer has been put in place, and we will begin construction Summer 2014.

Men's Basketball Playoff Game

Congrats to the LHS Men's Basketball team! Their first playoff game is Tuesday, February 18th. Here are the details:

Physics Bowl Results

LHS participated in Baylor's first Physics Bowl Competiton Saturday, February 15th.  Our team consisted of:

We also took first place in one of the two "Jeopardy" style matches!

Football Signing

Congratulations to Adrian Rodriguez for signing to play football at Howard Payne University! 

Swim Team

Congratulations to Blayne Jackson and Hunter Herbelin!  Both swimmers qualified for Regionals this past weekend.

Band UIL Solo and Ensemble

Congratulations to Haley Wicks, Kimmarie Counts, Keaton Marek, Felicity Fulton, Trent Curry, Janelle King, Uriel Garcia, Isaac Gallegos, Sarah Derrick, McKenna Strauch, Anna Mathis, and Corbin Voges.  These LHS Band members participated in the Region 8 UIL Solo and Ensemble contest this past Saturday.  All of the students received the highest rating a participant can receive. They are now eligible to compete at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest in May.  

Ladies' Basketball Playoffs

Congrats to the Lady Leopard basketball team on making it to the playoffs! Their first game will be Tuesday night, February 11th at 6:30 in Leon. They take on Madisonville.
