Student Council FroYo Friday

The LHS Student Council is holding a fundraiser on Friday, February 12th.  Please visit the Hewitt 3Spoons location on February 12th and mention the Lorena Student Council with your purchase.  The Student Council will receive 25% of the sales that mention the Lorena Student Council.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Area Band Results

Felicity Fulton placed 1st chair flute and is advancing to the Texas All-State Band in February.  Joel Horton received 2nd alternate to the All-State Band.  Great job and congratulations!!!

LHS Student & Teacher Selected for Prestigious Program


Isaac Romer & Dr. Greg Borchardt
Congratulations to LHS student Isaac Romer! He along with LHS history teacher Dr. Greg Borchardt have been selected as one of only 15 student/teacher pairs in the country to participate in the Normandy: Sacrifice for Freedom Albert H. Small Student and Teacher Institute. After participating in the year long program, Isaac and Dr. Borchardt will travel to France to the Normandy American Cemetery to honor a fallen American hero. Available for each campus in Texas, the SRC is intended specifically to inform parents and guardians about a school’s individual characteristics and its academic performance.

PALs

PALs Second Annual Mr. Leopard Pageant will be held on Saturday, January 23rd.  Tickets will go on sale soon. 

PALs are collecting wigs, old make-up, large women's shoes, costume jewelry and gowns/dresses for the pageant. They are also collecting used craft and school supplies, board games, cards, dominoes, balls, and toys for use in the program.
